German Lebkuchen Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Combine brown sugar, butter, 1/3 cup honey, egg, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and lemon zest in bowl.
  5. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  6. Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, allspice, cloves and nutmeg; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  7. Stir in 1/3 cup blanched almonds and raisins.
  8. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  9. Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Stir together all glaze ingredients in bowl until smooth.
  12. Drizzle over bars.
  13. Garnish with candied cherries and almonds, if desired.
