Ham, Mac & Cheese Soup
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked dried small macaroni shells
- 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
- 1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups Land O Lakes Fat Free Half & Half
- 11 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup finely diced ham
- Salt, as desired
- Pepper, as desired
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain; set aside.
- Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; stir in flour and mustard.
- Add broth and half & half.
- Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 4-5 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low; stir in cheese until melted.
- Stir in cooked macaroni and ham.
- Cook 4-5 minutes or until heated through.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
