Rose Jam

  1. Wash the rose petals and separate with your hands.
  2. Place into a pot with the other ingredients and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour.
  3. When the rose petals have all become soft and take on a paste-like consistency, it's done.
  4. Keep an eye on it and add water as necessary.
  5. This probably isn't necessary, but in my home, once the petals have softened, we use a stick blender to make it into a paste.
  6. This jam is used in our Fried Donuts at.
  7. It's also great on ice cream.
