Skillet Chicken With Biscuit Dumplings Recipe
- 1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce.) condensed chicken broth
- 1 tbsp. instant chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 c. frzn vegetables (of your choice)
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Sprinkle chicken pcs on both sides with salt and paprika.
- Heat butter in a large skillet.
- Add in chicken pcs and saute/fry till well browned on both sides.
- Remove chicken and pour off drippings.
- Return chicken to skillet.
- Add in sufficient water to broth to make 1 1/2 c.. Pour over chicken.
- Add in chopped onion, poultry seasoning, and black pepper to pan.
- Bring to boiling.
- Cover and simmer 25 min.
- Add in vegetables and bring to boiling again.
- Top with biscuits.
- Simmer, uncovered, 10 min.
- Cover and simmer 10 min longer or possibly till dumplings are cooked through.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
