Two Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 cup pecans (chopped and toasted)
- 2 14 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
- 6 ounces white chocolate chips
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together the butter and both the sugars until the mixture is light in texture.
- Beat in the whole egg and egg yolk.
- Add the maple syrup and the vanilla.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, beating just until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Cover and refrigerate until cold, 2-6 hours.

- Scoop 1 tablespoon of the chilled dough onto baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
