Mom's Tropical Trifle Recipe

  1. Prepare pudding according to package directions.
  2. Cut lb.
  3. cake into cubes.
  4. Layer half of cubes into 2 1/2 qt bowl (preferably glass).
  5. Sprinkle with orange juice.
  6. Spoon 1/4 c. preserves over cubes then layer 1 c. vanilla pudding.
  7. Put 1/2 of whipped topping, 1/2 pineapple and 1 sliced banana; repeat layer and chill, covered, for 2 hrs before serving.
