Heart Healthy Waffles (Pancakes) Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. quick oatmeal
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 whole egg
- 2 tbsp. molasses
- 3 beaten egg whites, quite stiff
- Heat the lowfat milk and stir in the quick oats.
- Let stand 5 min.
- Add in the dry ingredients - flour, spices, baking pwdr, soda and the molasses and veg.
- oil.
- Lastly add in 3 beaten Large eggs, quite stiff.
- Serve with sliced bananas, orange marmalade or possibly applesauce.
