Sausage-Broccoli Chowder
- 2 can (15 1/4oz) corn
- 1/2 lb pork sausage links, sliced
- 2 large celery stalks, chopped
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 red or yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 2 can (14oz) chicken broth
- 1 lb broccoli, cut into 1in. pieces
- 2 can (10 3/4oz) cream of broccoli soup
- 1 cup half & half
- Drain corn & reserve liquid.
- Brown sausages; with slotted spoon, drain off all but 2T.
- fat.
- Into hot fat, saute' celery, onion & pepper for 3min.
- Add corn liquid, potato, & broth.
- Bring to boil & simmer covered for 5min.
- Add broccoli; simmer 5min.
- more or until tender.
- In medium bowl, blend undiluted broccoli soups with half & half; whisk into hot soup mixture.
- Simmer another 5min.
- **DO NOT BOIL
