Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. flaked coconut
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- In medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
- In large bowl, with electric mixer at low, cream butter and sugars.
- Add egg and vanilla; beat until well blended.
- Add flour mixture; beat until blended.
- Stir in coconut, chocolate and pecans.
- Drop by teaspoons
- 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
- Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
- Store cookies in lightly covered container.
