Mississippi Mud Cake

  1. Place coffee and rum in a sauce opan and heat to a simmer.
  2. Add chocolate and butter.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until both are melted.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. In a large bowl, beat eggs.
  6. Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is thick.
  7. Beat in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
  8. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and satt.
  9. Beat into chocolate mixture.
  10. Turn batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
  11. Bake at 275F for 1 1/2 hours, or until cake tests done.
