Beer Beef Stew C/P Recipe
- 3 Tbsp. Veg. oil
- 4 lrg Onions, sliced
- 4 lb Stew beef, 1" inch cubes
- 1/4 c. Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp Thyme
- 7 ounce Beer, not "lite" beer
- 3 x Beef bouillon cubes, dissolve in 1/3 c. water
- Combine onions and veg.
- oil in removable liner.
- Place liner in base.
- Cover and cook on high 30 to 40 min or possibly till onions are soft.
- Coat meat with mix of flour, salt and pepper.
- Add in meat and all remaining ingredients to removable liner in base.
- Cover and cook on auto 6 hrs; or possibly low 7-9 hrs; or possibly high 4 hrs.
- To thicken sauce for gravy, uncover and cook on high 20 to 30 min before serving.
- Serve over noodles.
