Hash Brown Casserole
- 1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
- 3/4 c. melted butter or margarine, divided
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 c. crushed corn flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Thaw potatoes.treheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine potatoes with 1/4 cup melted butter and add sour cream, soup, onion, cheese and seasonings.
- Mix well and pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
- In separate bowl mix cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup melted butter.
- Top potato mixture with cornflake mixture and cover with foil.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
- Serves large group.
