Chop Suey

  1. Cut meat into strips.
  2. If using shrimp, shell and devein. Marinate in soy sauce.
  3. Prepare vegetables by slicing diagonally or into flowerets.
  4. Slice onions and crush garlic and heat in 2 to 3 tablespoons oil in medium to large skillet.
  5. Reduce heat when oil starts to smoke.
  6. Saute onions and garlic until transparent but not burnt.
  7. Add meat pieces.
  8. Saute for at least 5 minutes. Add 2 cans of broth or 2 cups of tap water.
  9. (I use a bouillon cube.) Simmer until meat is tender.
  10. Add soy sauce to taste.
  11. Add vegetables.
  12. It's up to you if you want your veggies half or fully cooked.
