Tourtiere (Canadian Pork Pie) Recipe

  1. Cook all ingredients together except pie crust, stirring constantly till meat is light brown in appearance, but still moist, about 4-5 min.
  2. Prepare favorite pie crust.
  3. Pour mix into pastry lined pie plate, cover with top crust which has slits in it.
  4. Seal and press firmly around edges with a fork.
  5. Bake at 400 degree oven for 35 to 40 min till crust is golden.
  6. Let stand 10 to 15 min before cutting.
