Caramelized Onion and Beer Dip
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 1 bottle (341 mL) beer
- 3 cups Cracker Barrel Shredded Old Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add yellow onions; cook and stir 5 min.
- or until tender.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min.
- or until onions are golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Add beer; stir.
- Bring to boil, stirring frequently.
- Toss cheese with flour.
- Add to beer mixture; cook and stir 1 to 3 min.
- or until cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly.
- Top with bacon and green onions.
