Jewish Apple Cake
- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 5 eggs
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 5 Red Delicious apples
- 3 Tbsp. cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
- Skin, core and slice the 5 apples.
- Then in a semi-large plastic bag, mix the apples and the cinnamon by shaking the bag vigorously until the apples are thoroughly covered in cinnamon.
- Mix the first six ingredients, then add oil, eggs and orange juice (batter should be thick).
- Next, layer the batter like this:
- batter on bottom, apples, batter, apples, etc., until all the apples are used up. Finish up with the batter on top.
- When the cake rises, put a little walnuts and sugar on top.
- Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes. Enjoy!
