Christmas Cookies

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients; add oatmeal, corn flakes, pecans, raisins, coconut and candied cherries.
  4. Work with hands until ingredients are well mixed.
  5. Form into small balls about the size of walnut. Press slightly.
  6. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Looks more colorful if fruit is left in large chunks.
  8. Makes 100 medium sized cookies.
