Chicken Dallas
- 1 whole cut up chicken
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 3/4 c. cream sherry
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Poupon mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. Parmesan, grated
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 whole green pepper, chopped
- In a large shallow baking pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic; stir to blend well. Arrange chicken parts on top of vegetables.
- Combine brown sugar, sherry and orange juice, Worcestershire, mustard, salt, catsup and vinegar.
- Mix well and pour over chicken.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in 350u0b0
- oven, uncovered, for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove chicken and add flour to remaining ingredients and stir over medium heat to thicken.
- Pour over chicken and enjoy.
