Pears Helene
- 8 pear halves. water-packed
- 1 cup uncreamed cottage cheese
- 3 tbsp. pure carob, grated
- 1 tbsp. frozen apple juice, thawed
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp. skim milk
- Put a pear half in each of 8 dessert dishes.
- Mix together the cheese, skim milk, apple juice and vanilla; blend until smooth.
- Spoon this mixture on each of the pear halves.
- Sprinkle with grated carob and serve.
