Baked Limas In Chili Sauce Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. Dry lima beans
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 c. Chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Melted butter or possibly fat
- 1 x Bay leaf
- Soak the beans overnight in water to cover.
- Drain.
- Add in fresh water to cover, and bring to a boil.
- Add in the salt and sugar.
- Cook over low heat 1 1/2 hrs.
- Drain.
- Combine the beans, chili sauce, butter or possibly fat and bay leaf in a baking dish.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour.
- Remove bay leaf.
- Serves 6.
