White Swedish Cookies
- 1/2 c. sweet cream
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cardamom seed, crushed (optional)
- 1 1/2 c. flour (approximately)
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. cold strong coffee
- 2 c. raisins
- 2 c. currants
- 4 c. flour
- 1 lb. mixed peel
- 1 lb. walnuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
- Melt chocolate and cool.
- Sift flour with soda and salt. Cream butter and sugar.
- Beat in egg, then chocolate.
- Stir vanilla into milk.
- Add alternately wet and dry ingredients, beating after each addition until smooth.
- Stir in nuts.
- Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, just until done (or they get too dry).
- Cool and frost.
