Glazed Cherry Tarts Recipe

  1. Defrost cherries.
  2. Bring to boiling point and simmer for 5 min.
  3. Drain.
  4. Measure juice and sufficient water to make a c. liquid.
  5. Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch.
  6. Add in to cherry juice and cook till thickened.
  7. Add in butter.
  8. Put the liquid removed cherries in the baked tart shells.
  9. Add in the warm cherry glaze.
  10. Refrigeratethoroughly.
  11. Serve with whipped cream.
  12. Makes 6 tarts.
  13. NOTE: If cherries are frzn without sugar, use 1 c. sugar.
  14. Whipped cream can be substituted for no cholesterol topping and no cholesterol butter for butter.
