Cousin Fern'S End Of The Garden Relish
- 2 qt. string beans
- 2 qt. lima beans
- 2 qt. sweet corn
- 2 qt. tiny onions or finely chopped onions
- 2 qt. cucumbers, cut fine or whole small cucumbers
- 2 bunches celery, cut up
- 1 head cauliflower, separated into small pieces
- red peppers, cut fine
- 2 qt. cabbage, cut fine
- 2 qt. green tomatoes, cut in wedges
- 2 1/2 lb. sugar
- 1/4 lb. mustard seed
- 1/8 lb. celery seed
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 1 oz. turmeric
- vinegar (to cover)
- Cook string beans and lima beans in salt water until tender. Drain and add other mixture.
- Cook all 20 minutes.
- Cool in airtight jars.
- (I pour into hot, sterilized jars and process in boiling water for 20 minutes.)
