3 Minute Easy Boiled Spinach in the Microwave

  1. Wash the dirt off the stems of the spinach.
  2. Turn 3 of the spinach bunches the other way around, put together with the other 3 bunches, and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  3. Microwave at 600 W for about 3 minutes.
  4. It will look like this when it''s done.
  5. The leaves and stems of all 6 bunches are cooked evenly!
  6. Note: A bag has less spinach it in these days, compared to when I originally posted this recipe.
  7. So now I just microwave a bag for 2.5 minutes.
  8. Put the spinach in cold water, plastic wrap and all.
  9. When it has cooled down, take the plastic off while the spinach is still in water.
  10. Turn 3 of the bunches the other way again so all the stems and leaves are together.
  11. Squeeze the spinach out tightly to remove any bitterness.
  12. Use the cooked spinach in any way you like.
  13. I always cut it up and freeze it.
