Stuffed Peppers
- rice (read directions on box)
- bell peppers (red and yellow)
- 1 1/2 lb. ground meat
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder or salt
- peppers
- Cut small portion off tops of peppers.
- Drop in boiling water; cook for 5 minutes.
- Discard stems and seeds.
- Take leftover parts of tops and dice.
- Cook in hot oil with diced onion.
- Cook until softened.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned.
- Cook rice according to directions.
- Add to meat mixture.
- Add spices and tomatoes plus tomato sauce.
- Mix well.
- Place well drained peppers in baking dish.
- Stuff with tomato and meat mixture.
- Place extra over and around peppers.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
