Chickpea Chili

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat cook the onions and garlic in the oil until translucent.
  2. Stir in the chickpeas, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano and red pepper.
  3. Simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes.
  4. Serve over rice, topped with yogurt, peppers, tomatoes and lettuce.
