Do-Ahead Beef Dinner Casserole

  1. Brown ground beef, onion, celery and green pepper, stirring until vegetables are tender.
  2. Pour off drippings; stir in soup, tomato sauce, garlic, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Pour into ungreased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Cover and refrigerate (overnight, if desired).
  5. To bake, place casserole in cold oven. Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes in moderate oven (350u0b0).
  6. Spoon potatoes around edge.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Bake 10 minutes more.
