Saucy Pepper Steak
- 1/4 medium green pepper, cut in strips
- 1/4 medium red pepper, cut in strips
- 1/4 large yellow pepper, cut in strips
- 1/4 small onion, cut in strips
- 1 tsp. canola oil
- 6 oz. beef sirloin steak, cut in strips
- 1/2 tsp. garlic clove
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 cup brown rice, cooked
- 2/3 cup canned pineapple chunks (in juice)
- 8 fl oz (1 cup) drinking water
- HEAT oil in a large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add bell peppers and onions; cook and stir 3 to 5 min.
- or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Transfer to large bowl; keep warm.
- ADD meat, garlic and black pepper to same skillet; cook and stir 3 min.
- Add soy sauce; cook 1 min.
- or until meat is cooked through.
- Add barbecue sauce; cook until heated through.
- SPOON meat mixture into bowl with vegetables; toss gently.
- Serve over rice.
- COMPLEMENT with pineapple for dessert.
- SERVE a glass of water with your meal.
