Chilly Prawns.. an exotic delight
- 250 grams prawns
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp corn flour
- 4 tbsp refined cooking oil to fry
- 3 large green chillies, slit
- 1 large onion , chopped
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1 few cillantro, celery or curry leaves , cut
- 1/4 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp chilly sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp oil (for stir fry)
- 1 egg
- Add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, corn flour and egg to Prawns and mix well.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry the prawns mixture mentioned above.
- Make sure all sides are fried well.
- It takes about 10 minutes to get it crunchy :)
- In a non-stick pan, add green chillies, onion, bell pepper, cillantro leaves (chopped or minced) and oil and stir well on flame
- Add soy sauce, green chilly sauce and tomato sauce and again stir well
- When it get half fried , add the fried prawns to it and stir well
- Serve it hot.
- Taste best as a side dish with Fried rice, pasta etc
- Shrimp can also be cooked with this recipe
