Salmon Sour Cream Bake Recipe
- 2 (8 ounce.) fresh or possibly frzn salmon steaks, cut 1" thick
- 1/4 c. dairy lowfat sour cream
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing
- 1/4 c. sliced green onion
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash grnd red pepper
- 1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese (1 ounce.)
- Thaw salmon, if frzn.
- Place salmon steaks flat on cutting surface.
- Halve steaks lengthwise, perpendicular to cutting surface, removing center bones.
- Place the 4 pcs of salmon in a 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish.
- Bake, uncovered in a 450 degree oven for 12-15 min or possibly just till fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Meanwhile, in small bowl combine lowfat sour cream, mayonnaise, green onion, lemon juice, salt and red pepper.
- Spoon over salmon; sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 3-4 min more or possibly till sauce is just heated through.
- Makes 4 servings.
