Short Ribs Contadina

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add ribs; cook until browned on both sides.
  3. Add onion and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Combine tomato paste, water, salt and pepper in small bowl.
  5. Pour over ribs; cover.
  6. Simmer over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Add carrots; simmer, covered, for additional 30 minutes or until ribs are tender.
