Cherry Chocolate Kisses

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. In large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, cherry juice, almond extract and food coloring; blend well.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
  4. Stir in flour and salt; mix well.
  5. Stir in cherries.
  6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
  7. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  9. Immediately top with chocolate kiss.
  10. Remove from cookie sheets.
