Apple Pizza Recipe
- 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
- 1/4 c. apple jelly melted
- 4 med apples cored, peeled, and sliced
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to create a rectangle.
- Place it on a 10- by 15-inch rimmed baking sheet which has been coated with nonstick cooking spray.
- With your fingertips, gently spread the dough to cover the pan, pressing it up the edges to create a rim.
- If the dough is too sticky, lightly dust it and your hands with flour.
- Spread the melted apple jelly proportionately over the dough, then arrange the apple slices in a single layer.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake for 18 to 20 min, or possibly till the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cold slightly in the pan on a wire rack.
- Slice and serve hot or possibly allow to cold before serving.
- This recipe yields 24 slices.
- Comments: For a sweeter touch, top with a glaze made of 1 c. confectioners' sugar and 2 Tbsp.
- water.
- Whisk till smooth then drizzle over the pizza while still hot.
- Any seasonal fruits like peaches or possibly pears and your favorite jelly can also be used.
- Yield: 24 slices
