I Always Make This Boiled Chicken When I Buy Chicken Breasts
- 1 Chicken breast
- 1 Celery leaves
- 1 slice Ginger
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp White sesame seed paste
- 2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Chicken broth
- Bring plenty of water to a boil in a pot.
- Prepare the celery leaves and thinly sliced ginger.
- (No need to peel the ginger skin.)
- Add the salt, chicken breast, celery leaves and ginger in the pot, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and cool down them in the pot.
- Mix the ingredients for the sesame dressing.
- Stir well to avoid clumps.
- (Other types of dressings are also fine, so use your favorite one if you like.)
- Slice the chicken diagonally into bite size strips.
- Serve on a plate.
- I made a basil and chicken sandwich with this boiled chicken breast.
