Amazing Soft Tacos
- 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 cups Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Water Or Milk
- Oil, For Cooking Tortilla Shells
- 1.
- Combine flour, cornmeal, chili powder, and salt.
- Add egg and water (or milk).
- Whisk ingredients together till well combined.
- 2.
- Add a very small amount of oil into a nonstick pan.
- Heat pan on medium-high.
- 3.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of mixture into the hot frying pan.
- Tip pan around to make the round taco shape.
- 4.
- Heat taco in pan for about 30-45 seconds.
- You will notice the edges will begin to separate from the pan.
- Using your flipper, flip taco over.
- 5.
- Heat the other side for another 30 seconds.
- Done!
- Keep warm in oven while you make more.
- Note: The first taco may be a bit oily as it is the first and absorbs the oil in the pan.
- Its still tasty.
- The rest will work out beautifully.
