Sausage With Gravy Recipe

  1. Shape the sausage into 4 to 6 patties.
  2. Put patties into a cool skillet and cook slowly till well browned on both sides and thoroughly cooked.
  3. Remove cakes to a warm platter; keep hot.
  4. Drain off all but 4 Tbsp.
  5. from skillet.
  6. Brown onion in the fat.
  7. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
  8. Stir flour in browned onions and fat and boil 1 minute.
  9. Remove skillet from heat and stir in bouillon.
  10. Return to heat and simmer gravy 5 min.
  11. Return sausage to skillet and heat thoroughly.
