Sticky BBQ Spareribs
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1 c. hoisin sauce
- 1 rack pork spare ribs
- Black pepper
- Sauteed baby bok choy
- Sticky rice
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and hoisin.
- Season the ribs with 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- Place the ribs in a large ovenproof baking dish (cut the rack in half if necessary).
- Pour the ketchup mixture over the ribs, turning to coat evenly.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and continue baking until the meat is tender, easily pulls away from the bone and the glaze is beginning to char, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Transfer the rack to a cutting board and cut into pieces.
- Serve with bok choy and sticky rice, if desired.
