Fish With Cheese And Tomato Sauce
- 1 1/2 lb. fish fillets
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/4 c. tomato puree
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. grated Cheddar cheese
- Sprinkle fish with lemon juice and let stand for 10 minutes. Combine cheese, sour cream, milk, salt, pepper, parsley and tomato puree and stir into smooth paste.
- Arrange one layer of fish in glass pan.
- Cover with cheese mixture.
- Continue with layers but finish with cheese mixture.
- Cook for 10 minutes, covered, in oven at 400u0b0.
- Remove from oven.
- Sprinkle with butter, bread crumbs and remaining cheese.
- Return to oven uncovered for another 15 minutes to brown.
