Esau's Pottage - Vegetarian
- 6 -7 cups water
- 3 -4 large onions, chopped
- 1 cup lentils
- 34 cup brown rice
- 12 cup olive oil (a must!)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Sautee onions in olive oil-in soup pot.
- Add water, lentils, rice and slat.
- Cook 30 minutes or so: uncover and cook longer to thicken.
- Dont substitute other oil for the olive oil.
- It gives the soup a wonderful flavor.
