Swiss Mushroom Burger

  1. Heat barbecue to medium heat.
  2. Cut onion crosswise in half.
  3. Cut half the onion into 1/4-inch-thick slices; finely chop remaining onion.
  4. Mix meat, chopped onions, egg, parsley, garlic and 1 Tbsp.
  5. mustard just until blended; shape into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  6. Brush mushroom and onion slices with dressing.
  7. Grill patties and vegetables 6 min., turning vegetables after 3 min.
  8. Remove vegetables from barbecue.
  9. Turn patties; grill 5 min.
  10. (Burgers will not be done.)
  11. Meanwhile, cut mushroom into thin slices.
  12. Top burgers with mushrooms, cheese and onions; grill 3 to 4 min.
  13. or until burgers are done (160 degrees F) and cheese is melted.
  14. Mix remaining mustard and mayonnaise; spread onto buns.
  15. Fill with burgers.
