BBQ Wontons

  1. In a medium sized bowl, combine ground meat, green onions, garlic, dried minced onion, paprika, sugar, dijon mustard, 2 Tablespoons BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
  2. Stir the ingredients until combined with a wooden spoon.
  3. Lay your wonton wrappers out on the counter, 6 at a time.
  4. With your finger, dip it into a bowl of warm water and outline the outer edges of the wrapper with water.
  5. Scoop 1 teaspoon of the meat mixture and put it in the center of the wonton wrapper.
  6. Add a kiss of BBQ sauce to the top of each ball of meat.
  7. Take the two opposite sides of the wonton wrapper and bring them together and pinch.
  8. Bring the other two sides of the wonton wrapper to the center and pinch.
  9. Twist the top to finish wrapping the wonton.
  10. Once you have finished assembling the wontons, pour in enough canola oil to cover the bottom of a frying pan or saucepan (make sure its one that has a lid).
  11. Heat the oil over medium heat.
  12. Add the first batch of the wontons to the pan and cook the bottoms for 2 minutes.
  13. After 2 minutes, carefully add 1/3 cup chicken broth.
  14. Cover with a lid and let the wontons steam for 3 minutes.
  15. Carefully remove the wontons from the pan after steaming for 3 minutes.
  16. Repeat these steps for your second batch of wontons.
  17. Serve with some BBQ sauce for dipping.
  18. Although, they are so flavorful, you probably wont need it!
