Cinnamon Apple Salad

  1. In 3 quart
  2. saucepan,
  3. cook
  4. cinnamon
  5. candies in water until dissolved.tdd apples
  6. and cook slowly, uncovered, just until tender, about 15
  7. to
  8. 20
  9. minutes,turning
  10. once during cooking. Refrigerate applestn
  11. syrup several hours, turning once.tAs the apples stand,
  12. they absorb the bright red color of the candies.) Blend
  13. together
  14. cream cheese, milk and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  15. Add pineapple, dates and nuts. Drain apples.
  16. Stuff centers with cream cheese mixture.
  17. Serve on lettuce-lined plates.
  18. Makes 6 servings.
