Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza
- loaf of frozen bread dough
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb. browned pork sausage
- whatever extras you like: chopped onions, mushrooms, green peppers, olives, etc.
- garlic salt to taste
- oregano to taste
- Parmesan cheese to taste
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (Italian style)
- Let loaf of frozen bread dough thaw and rise to double in size. Punch down and put in greased deep dish pizza pan (14-inches in diameter and 2-inches deep).
- Let ball of dough rise in pan for 10 minutes.
- Then work the dough by pushing with fingers until completely covers bottom of pan.
- Pull the edge up to form a lip or border crust of dough.
- Cover pan with towel and let rise 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 475u0b0.
- Prick crust with tines of fork and bake it at 475u0b0 for 4 minutes exactly.
- Then brush crust with olive oil.
