Baked Greek Flat-Iron Steak (Yia-Yias Way)

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. On a clean cutting board cut the flat-iron steak in half horizontally.
  2. Zest the lemon and set aside.
  3. Cut lemon in half.
  4. In a skillet (12) over medium-low heat add Greek olive oil and butter.
  5. Once melted together add the two flat iron steaks and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, rosemary and Greek oregano.
  6. Saute steaks for 2 minutes on each side.
  7. Add halved grape tomatoes, olives, lemon zest and juice and cover skillet (using foil is fine).
  8. Place the skillet in the oven and bake at 375 F for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and serve each steak onto an individual plate and add Feta cheese crumbles.
  10. This is excellent with a Greek salad and side vegetable dish.
  11. Enjoy this easy, flavorful Greek dish!
