Millet Burgers

  1. Use 1 cup of millet for 3 cups of water, add a pinch of salt and cook for about 25-30 minutes.
  2. The millet can be roasted before cooking to add a nutty taste to the grain.
  3. Saute the onion and garlic first, then add the carrot.
  4. Simmer for about 5 minutes then mix in a large bowl along with the other ingredients.
  5. The mixture can be made into patties and fried until golden or they can be baked at 375 F (200 C) for 40 minutes.
  6. Alternatively: the mixture can become a Millet loaf by putting the mixture in a baking dish in the oven.
