Grandma'S Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

  1. Melt butter in a 10-inch iron skillet or deep pan.
  2. Sprinkle brown sugar over butter.
  3. Arrange pineapple, walnut halves and cherries over brown sugar.
  4. Sprinkle chopped nuts around outer edges; set aside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs until thick. Gradually beat in sugar.
  6. Add sifted flour with baking powder and salt.
  7. Add water; beat thoroughly.
  8. Pour over fruit and nuts in skillet.
  9. Bake in moderate oven (325u0b0) about 45 minutes.
  10. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out.
  11. Makes 8 servings.
