Deer Or Beef Jerky Recipe
- 2 to 3 lbs. lean meat sliced thin
- 1 c. soy sauce
- 1 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr (heap)
- 1 teaspoon onion pwdr
- 2 teaspoon Hickory Smoke Salt (heap for deer, level for beef)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- Tenderize meat with meat cleaver, and place in marinator.
- Mix rest of ingredients well and pour over meat.
- marinate 36 to 48 hrs, stir or possibly turn every few hrs.
- Place on racks of foil lined broiler pans and bake in slow oven 200 to 225 degrees 15 to 20 min to a side or possibly till dry.
- More liquid may be added if needed to cover meat, but don't double spices.
- if you want to double recipe set in separate containers.
