Easy Meat with Tofu Simmer
- 1 block Tofu
- 150 to 200 grams Sliced pork chunks
- 1 Onion
- 2 1/2 to 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 200 ml Japanese dashi stock
- 1 thumbtip's worth Grated ginger
- Julienne the onion into slices of about 8 mm.
- Chop tofu into bite-sized pieces.
- Spread oil in a pan and grill the pork.
- When browned, add onion and stir-fry briskly.
- When pork is nicely colored, add dashi stock, all condiments, ginger, and tofu.
- Put the meat on top of the tofu and cover the pan.
- Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- It's done after 10 minutes!
- It's even more tasty if you warm it up again after it's cooled down!
