Pickled Cucumbers

  1. Wash, dry, and thinly slice the cucumbers.
  2. Peel and slice the onions.
  3. Mix the two ingredients together in a bowl and sprinkle with the salt.
  4. Leave 2 hours.
  5. Rinse and drain.
  6. Bring the vinegar, sugar, and spices to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Pack the drained cucumbers and onions loosely in warm jars.
  8. Cover with the spiced vinegar and seal immediately.
