Italian Sauce With Meatballs And Sausage

  1. In a large pot, saute onion in hot oil until just tender, then add garlic.
  2. Stir in tomato paste and two cans of water.
  3. Add salt, pepper, sweet basil, oregano and parsley if you like.
  4. Bring to a low boil, constantly stirring.
  5. Add tomatoes and the 1 can of water.
  6. Bring to a slow boil.*
  7. Add sausage and meatballs.
  8. Cook on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
